Video - Your Fishing Questions Answered - Leader Line, Catfish, Carp, and Parasites
Hello folks, this week we’d like to take a moment to answer your questions directly.
We receive hundreds of questions a month and we try our best to get back to them all. Though we would like to do more, so I’d like to use this time to take a few of my favourite questions and answer them directly or you.
This week I answer 8 wonderful questions:
- What are your thoughts on a Mister Twister Grub
- What is the best way to store fresh catfish fillets, and how long should they stay in the freezer?
- Do you run a leader line while running 10lb mono? And how to do you attach the leader line to the main fishing line?
- What is your recommendation for the pound test when fishing for carp?
- What is the best way to dispatch a fish?
- What lure do you think would be best to land a trophy pike?
- What’s the difference between using a fluorocarbon line or using just a leader?
- How can I tell if the fish has tapeworms or parasites?
If you have any fishing questions you’d like answered, please let us know in the comments below! I’ll be actively searching for more fishing questions to answer in another similar upcoming video.
Thanks again, and good fishin’
Ivo

Really enjoy your videos….Question, I just purchased several different types of your Saltwater Viper Spoons and T-turns. When rigging them up, do I tie my braded line directly to the T-turn? Also, what weight leader do I need from the t-turn to the Viper spoon? I fish the south end of the New Jersey coast and back bay areas. Thank much and keep the videos comming.

Hi Tony,
Glad you are enjoying our videos and thanks for tuning in

If your main line is braid, you can tie your T-Turn on using the braid - however - when tying on your sinker and your Viper Spoon, suggest using fluorocarbon or Mono as they are less visible to fish. In fact, it would even be preferred to tie on 6 - 10 foot fluorocarbon leader on your main line, then tie on your T-Turn. This would be even better
As for line pound test in the back bays of New Jersey, 20 lb braid should be sufficient as a main line (or even 30 lb braid, as braided line is very thin) The you can use a 15 lb fluorocarbon or Mono leader to your Viper Spoon and it’s always bet to use a lighter line to your sinker so if your sinker snags, that line will break and you save your rig
You are going to absolutely love using the T-Turns and Viper Spoons!
