What type of Boa jigr is good for fluke?
Hi Joshua,
Nice to hear from you.
When fishing for fluke, it depends how deep you are fishing and how fast you are drifting, in order to determine what size boa jig’r to use. However, as a general rule, the 2 oz Boa Jig’r would be good in shallow water up to 30 feet deep. Then from 30 feet to 60 feet deep, the 3 oz Boa Jig’r would do great and anything deeper, you can jump to the 6 oz Boa Jig’r
Either way, the Boa Jig’r will work great for you. Just tip it with a strip of cut bait or squid, and jig it close to the bottom for fluke. We like to stay within a foot of bottom for best results.
Thanks for writing in Joshua and we hope you have a great year on the water!
