Claudio was running a gold SP5 Viper Spoon baited up with a whole mackerel while Ivo was jigging along with a bucktail jig. Both trying to see who would land the bigger striper.
They get a massive striper double header! And Claudio with the SP5 Viper Spoon lands the bigger striper.

How did u hookup the mackeral to the spoon. So ui have a pic or diagram? It would help in the video if u talk about how u fish the lure. Did u drift, troll,anchor or just cast into a school of breaking fish? How deep were u running the spoon? These things would help us be more successful with your lures.

We actually have videos out on how to rig a viper spoon. If you do a search on you tube for “viper Spoon Rigging”, the videos will appear. Check out the SP5 video and it will show you exactly how to rig a mackerel.
We were flat lining the Viper Spoon with no weight on it, so that it would be suspended as we drifted along. We had about 30 - 40 yards of line out. By drifting, we were able to cover a lot of ground and get into some active fish.
