If you’re a tournament angler, or a die-hard catch & release angler, sooner or later you will have a fish which will not survive if released. Not a problem though, as this will make for good table fare.

Ivo, thank you for this video. I havn’t fished since I was a small child. (I’m 34 now.)
For the past two years my buddy at the fire hall (www.bonovfd.org) as been talking to me about fishing. I finally took what I had to him and started taking crash-course lessions. We’ve hit the water once together, and I have gone to the local state park several times alone.
Tonight I caught a larg mouth bass that weighed about 1.5-2 lbs. I told my wife we were going to take it home but I had no idea how to filllet it.
I found your video and tried it step by step. It wasn’t bad. Not pretty by any measure, but easy and fairly clean.
