Greetings everyone. I’ve had a passion for fishing ever since I was old enough to cast.
It’s truly a joy for me. There is something about the feeling of a fish striking and fighting on the end of your line. I love it! I even get excited when I get a bite while still-fishing. It’s like I go into a trance observing the rod tip getting ready to set the hook.
I also enjoyed making my own lures & flies just to see if I could catch something on them.
Now, some folks may not agree with this, but, I avoided dating (in my teens) just so I could go to bed early on Friday nights and wake up early to go fishing.
Problem was, I hardly got any sleep because I was too excited thinking about it.
I also love to eat fish. Although I’m a true believer in catch & release, I do keep some fish for the family to enjoy. There’s nothing like a grilled trout or baked flounder (just to mention a few).
I always have a good time while fishing with friends and relatives. It’s a great way to spend time together and have a few laughs. My brothers Ivo and Phil have fished with me on a regular basis and they love it as much as I do. To tell you the truth, I don’t mind fishing by myself either.
Fishing for me is relaxing and therapeutic. Putting my mind at ease and forgetting about the everyday stresses we all have. Being near water and surrounded by nature always makes me feel good. If you’re like me, you can certainly understand this.
